Why should a small consulting firm look to do business with Colleges and Universities?
I'm trying to look for the benefits of my small consulting firm looking for contracting or subcontracting opportunities within Colleges or Universities. My boss thinks this is a good idea and I'm not so sure, any thoughts?

You have to be kidding! The business you consult in would have to be in the toilet or consulting on acorns for a university or college which, receive significant funding from the state, not to be interested in your offerings.
At the very least, you could consult to the vendors that are bidding projects at the education systems. Or, bid and sub-contract.
Business is about opportunity. You can’t drown in a puddle if you just stand up!
